Portugal legend Eusebio has been released from hospital after being taken ill on Saturday.
The 70-year-old has a history of heart trouble and was admitted after complaining of feeling unwell in Opalenica, where he was staying as an ambassador for the Portuguese national side.
The "Black Pearl", as he was known, will not be present at Portugal's semi-final against Spain after opting to return home instead.
Hospital spokesman Stanislav Rusek told abola.pt: "He had a very good night. Today he was physically and mentally able so he was discharged by the medical team."
Eusebio is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in history, having scored 638 goals in 614 games during a 15-year spell with Benfica, winning the prestigious Ballon d'Or in 1965.
