Sergio Ramos hoping for Dani Carvajal recovery

Spain defender Sergio Ramos hopes that Real Madrid teammate Dani Carvajal recovers from a hamstring injury in time for this weekend's La Liga clash with Atletico Madrid.

Sergio Ramos is hopeful that Real Madrid teammate Dani Carvajal recovers from a hamstring injury in time for this weekend's derby against La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.

Carvajal picked up the problem on Spain duty at the weekend, and as it stands is a doubt to make the league clash at the Bernabeu on Saturday.

"Without a doubt, the worst part of these international friendlies are the injuries to teammates. I hope Carvajal is able to recover soon and can make it back in time for the derby," Inside Spanish Football quotes the right-back as saying.

"The beautiful thing about football is that it always gives you the chance at revenge and we'll face this derby with the desire and intention to avenge our Super Cup loss."

Should Carvajal fail to recover, Alvaro Arbeloa will start at right-back.
