Hugo Lloris 'could quit Tottenham Hotspur for Barcelona'

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is attracting interest from Barcelona with a view to a possible summer move, according to reports.

Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris is a reported target for Barcelona and could quit the club if they fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Spurs, who trail fourth-placed Liverpool by six points, are facing a battle to reach Europe's top club competition and the Sunday People suggests that Catalan giants are among a number of clubs alerted the French international's potential availability in the summer.

It is believed that Lloris is seen as "sweeper-keeper" by officials at the Nou Camp that would not only fit Barca's philosophy, but is seen as a leading contender to succeed incumbent shot-stopper Victor Valdes.

Paris Saint-Germain are also heavily linked with a move for the ex-Lyon keeper as are Atletico Madrid, who see him as a viable alternative if they fail to retain Chelsea loanee Thibaut Courtois on a permanent basis.

Tottenham entertain fifth-placed Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
