Danny Rose has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has given the player his backing.
The full-back, who spent a loan stint at Sunderland last season, had questions over his Spurs future following reports linking the club with a number of left-backs during the summer transfer window.
"I spoke to the manager about the left-back situation and he assured me that if he still wanted a change, he'd come to speak to me first, which is great," Rose told the London Evening Standard.
"I wasn't looking to go anywhere just yet. I'm enjoying the run in the team and long may it continue."
Rose has started all three Premier League matches for the North London outfit this season.
