Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to confirming a deal for Leeds United youngster Jack Clarke.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly moved to the brink of securing a deal for Leeds United youngster Jack Clarke.

Despite it being suggested that they will play an active role in the transfer window, Spurs are yet to make any additions to their first-team squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

That may be about to change, however, with The Express claiming that the North London outfit are close to signing Clarke in a £15m deal.

The 18-year-old made a total of 25 appearances for the Yorkshire giants this season, although just five of those outings came from the starting lineup.

The report adds that the teenager's relative lack of experience will see him spend another year at Elland Road, rather than seeing his game-time limited at the Premier League side.
