Quique Flores delighted by "really good" Troy Deeney displays

Quique Flores hails the "really good" recent displays of Troy Deeney after seeing the striker score his first Premier League goal last time out.

Watford boss Quique Flores has heaped praise on Troy Deeney after seeing his striker get off the mark in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old found the net in last weekend's 2-0 win over Stoke City to end his wait for a top-flight goal.

Flores is happy with the all-round contribution of Deeney to date, claiming that his previously goal-shy side have now managed to strike the "perfect" balance.

"For me at this moment, Troy Deeney is really good," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "The performances in general are really good.

"The impact in the team is very important. The teammates, they say, it's perfect for us because our strikers finally score, and for sure, for this season, everything is good.

"[Deeney] didn't have an obsession with how he had not scored. He's scoring in the natural way now. He's scoring because he's playing well, he's scoring because he's close to the box, so finally, it comes good."

Watford have scored a joint-lowest total of eight goals so far this season at a rate of under one goal a game.
