Neymar scored twice as Brazil secured top spot in Group A with a 4-1 win over Cameroon on Monday.

Brazil entered the fixture needing just a point to be sure of a spot in the last-16 stage of the World Cup, but picked up all three courtesy of goals from Neymar (2), Fred and Fernandinho.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at who impressed during the 90 minutes of action.

CAMEROON

Goal

Charles Itandje: Could do nothing about Brazil's first, third or fourth, but should have done better for the second. Did not look entirely convincing between the sticks despite some smart saves. (6/10)

Defence

Allan Nyom: Drafted into the XI this evening and produced an energetic performance at right-back. However, was lucky to get away with a clear off-the-ball push on Neymar in the first period. (6/10)

Joel Matip: Hit the crossbar with a header before eventually finding the back of the net, but was caught out defensively, especially in the second period. (6/10)

Nicolas N'Koulou: Made a couple of brilliant last-ditch challenges, but was guilty of some poor decision-making. Failed to seriously organise the defence. (6/10)

Henri Bedimo: Caught out as Brazil upped the tempo in the second period and was also guilty of losing possession too easily in defensive areas. (5/10)

Midfield

Eyong Enoh: Had a couple of decent attempts in the first period, but struggled as the second period advanced. Was also booked for a poor challenge on Marcelo. (6/10)

Stephane Mbia: Steady second period, but was caught on the ball on too many occasions in the first half. That said, has arguably been his side's best player this summer. (6/10)

Landry N'Guemo: Proved an energetic presence, but was largely anonymous for much of the 90 minutes. (5/10)

Attack

Benjamin Moukandjo: Had a bright first period, but lasted just 15 minutes of the second half due to some sloppiness in possession. (5/10)

Vincent Aboubakar: A real livewire in the first half, but faded as the match progressed. Replaced by Webo after 72 minutes. (6/10)

Maxim Choupo-Moting: Spent most of his time helping out defensively and as a result, failed to seriously influence the match in a forward area. (5/10)

Substitutes

Edgar Salli: Replaced Moukandjo just before the hour mark and did not take long to pick up the pace of the game. Proved extremely busy in the latter stages. (6/10)

Pierre Webo: Had no change out of Silva and Luiz after entering little under 20 minutes from time. Struggled for service. (5/10)

Jean Makoun: Replaced Choupo-Moting late on, but had little time to make an impact with Brazil dominating possession of the ball. (5/10)

BRAZIL

Goal

Julio Cesar: Made a couple of smart saves, but did not have too much to do aside from picking the ball out of his own net in the first period. (6/10)

Defence

Dani Alves: Offered a threat in attacking areas with his pace, but was caught out defensively for Cameroon's equaliser. Needs to up his level in the knockout stages. (6/10)

Thiago Silva: Another classy performance from the centre-back, who was strong in the tackle and calm on the ball. Easily Brazil's best defender. (8/10)

David Luiz: Produced a fine cross with his left foot for Brazil's third of the evening, but still extremely suspect defensively. (6/10)

Marcelo: Like Alves, was caught sleeping at the back post for Cameroon's equaliser and was too often caught in possession of the ball. (6/10)

Midfield

Paulinho: Another disappointing display saw the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder replaced at the interval. Decent going forward but left Luiz Gustavo horribly exposed in the middle of the park. (5/10)

Luiz Gustavo: Classy performance from the midfielder, who continued to break up play in the middle of the park. Will be key for his side in the latter stages of the tournament. (7/10)

Oscar: Has had better matches, but produced a brilliant flick to set up Fernandinho for Brazil's fourth. Was ever available in the final third and showed plenty of nice touches. (6/10)

Attack

Neymar: Fine brace for the 22-year-old, who has now scored 35 times in 52 games for his country. Both strikes demonstrated his vast talent. Now has four goals at this summer's tournament. (8/10)

Fred: Got his name on the scoresheet in the second period, but was again laboured in possession of the ball. Lack of movement is a detriment to Brazil's attack. (6/10)

Hulk: Another poor showing from Hulk, who continues to frustrate in a Brazilian shirt. Was hounded out of possession far too easily for a player of his size and power. (4/10)

Substitutes

Fernandinho: Capped a brilliant second-half display with a fine goal in the latter stages. Brought a calmness to the midfield and surely has to start against Chile. (7/10)

Ramires: Replaced Hulk just past the hour mark and quickly picked up the pace of the match. A brilliant option from the bench for Luiz Felipe Scolari. (6/10)

Willian: Introduced in place of Neymar with 20 minutes remaining, but was not really involved. (5/10)
