Jose Mourinho: 'Chris Foy can't ref Chelsea games'

Jose Mourinho calls on the Premier League Referees' Committee to ban Chris Foy from officiating Chelsea fixtures in the future.

Jose Mourinho has called on the Premier League Referees' Committee to ban Chris Foy from officiating Chelsea fixtures in the future.

Foy issued red cards to both Willian and Ramires in the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday, before also giving the Portuguese his marching orders for entering the field to contest the latter's dismissal.

Mourinho revealed that the official refused to discuss the decisions with him after the game, and the 51-year-old now believes that it would be best if the referee did not take charge of the Blues again.

"Maybe it's helpful that the (Premier League referees') committee doesn't send him (Foy) to our matches," he told reporters.

"I don't have the right to request (that). It's just I think they have to analyse the situation and see if every time he has Chelsea - or not every time - but many times he has Chelsea and problems are there, I think maybe it would be a good decision."

Mourinho's men have since seen their lead at the top of the Premier League table cut to four points after Arsenal and Liverpool both secured wins on Sunday.
