Danny Drinkwater's time at Chelsea is reportedly close to coming to an end after just one season, as London rivals West Ham United are preparing to swoop.
The 28-year-old has started only 12 games for the Blues since arriving in a £35m deal from Leicester City last summer, seeing him lose his place in the England fold ahead of the World Cup.
According to The Telegraph, West Ham have been alerted to Drinkwater's frustration and will attempt to bring in the midfielder as part of a summer rebuild.
Chelsea are said to be holding out for as much of the fee paid for the Manchester United academy product as possible, with other clubs also rumoured to have shown an interest.
The most recent of Drinkwater's 18 outings for the club came against Manchester City on March 4.
