Manuel Pellegrini: 'Premier League title race not finished yet'

Manuel Pellegrini is adamant that Manchester City can recover from the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal and still catch Chelsea in the Premier League title race.

Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that Manchester City can still bridge the gap to Chelsea and win the Premier League this season.

The Sky Blues' title bid suffered a blow on Sunday after losing 2-0 to Arsenal in a defeat that leaves them five points adrift of Jose Mourinho's side at the summit.

Pellegrini's troops travel to Stamford Bridge in two weeks' time, and the Chilean admits that his side's title hopes hinge on leaving West London with a positive result.

"I don't think that this is finished," Pellegrini told Sky Sports News. "Even if we don't win or we draw, we can continue fighting because in football, you never know.

"It was a long way to recover the eight points Chelsea had on our team, and now they're five points ahead, it will be a decisive game."

Defeat to the Gunners represented City's first loss in 15 games.
