Team News: Napoli duo Gonzalo Higuain, Dries Mertens miss out against Sassuolo

Rafael Benitez makes five changes to his Napoli side for Monday evening's visit of Sassuolo in Serie A.

Napoli's starting lineup for this evening's Serie A match with Sassuolo does not include Gonzalo Higuain or Dries Mertens.

The pair are two of five changes made from Thursday night's convincing Europa League win at Trabzonspor.

Higuain is replaced by Duvan Zapata up front, while Jose Callejon takes Mertens's place on the left wing. Elsewhere, there are returns for Marek Hamsik, Christian Maggio and David Lopez.

Visitors Sassuolo, meanwhile, make four changes to the side that lost 3-1 at home to Fiorentina on Valentine's Day.

In come Luca Antei, Saphir Taider, Simone Missiroli and Antonio Floro Flores, with Alessandro Longhi, Matteo Brighi, Davide Biondini and Nicola Sansone dropping out.

Napoli: Andujar; Maggio, Albiol, Koulibaly, Ghoulam; Gargano, David Lopez; Gabbiadini, Hamsik, Callejon; Zapata

Sassuolo: Consigli; Antei, Cannavaro, Acerbi, Gazzola; Taider, Magnanelli, Missiroli; Berardi, Zaza, Floro Flores
