Manolo Gabbiadini "excited" by Napoli move

Sampdoria striker Manolo Gabbiadini says that he is "fired up" by the prospect of completing his move to Napoli.

Sampdoria striker Manolo Gabbiadini has revealed that he is looking forward to joining Napoli.

The 23-year-old is believed to be on the verge of a €13m [£10.18m] move to the Partenopei after months of speculation.

"I want to salute the Samp fans. It was a wonderful year and a half here," Gabbiadini told Sky Sport Italia.

"Am I excited about the Napoli adventure? I am fired up to the right point."

Gabbiadini has scored seven goals in 13 Serie A games for Sampdoria this season.
