Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton has expressed his heartbreak after seeing his side succumb to a 1-0 defeat against Chelsea in Sunday's Premier League derby at Loftus Road.
Chris Ramsey's charges held firm against the league leaders and came within three minutes of earning a valuable point, but Cesc Fabregas went on to convert his side's only shot on goal in the game to leave QPR empty-handed.
Barton told BBC Sport after the game: "We're devastated. We definitely deserved at least a point. We are massive underdogs and you have to be switched on for 90 minutes.
"[Robert Green] is gutted but he has probably saved us 10 or 12 points this season. If we play like that for the rest of the games we should be safe.
"We're gutted. The lads have put in everything in there. You could see what it meant to Chelsea to win that game."
QPR remain 18th in the Premier League table, two points from safety.
