Birmingham City boosted their hopes of automatic promotion with a 3-1 victory over Barnsley at Oakwell tonight.
Chris Burke, who was in fine form for Chris Hughton's side, netted the opener when his eighth-minute strike deflected in via Rob Edwards.
The hosts responded well, equalising within ten minutes. Craig Davies converted David Cotterill's square pass following good work by the Welsh debutant.
The Blues were ahead again before half time as Keith Fahey's strike from the edge of the area went in off the post.
Substitute Nathan Redmond wrapped up the points with a late goal to move Birmingham into third place in the Championship table.
