Team News: Tony Watt earns Cardiff City debut against Burnley

Cardiff City hand a debut to on-loan striker Tony Watt for the Championship game at home to Burnley.

Cardiff City have given a debut to on-loan striker Tony Watt for their Championship game at home to Burnley.

The 21-year-old joined the Welsh side from Charlton Athletic during the week and has been thrown straight into the starting XI by manager Russell Slade as he replaces Joe Mason up front.

The only other alteration made by Slade comes in midfield, where Aron Gunnarsson is preferred to Kagisho Dikgacoi.

There is no place in the Burnley squad for Sam Vokes, who continues his recovery after more than a month out with injury, but Chris Long has replaced Rouwen Hennings in attack.

Cardiff City: Marshall; Peltier, Morrison, Connolly, Malone; Noone, Gunnarsson, Ralls, Whittngham; Watt, Jones
Subs: Moore, Tamas, Manga, O'Keefe, Kennedy, Mason, Macheda

Burnley: Heaton; Darikwa, Duff, Keane, Mee; Boyd, Jones, Barton, Arfield; Long, Gray
Subs: Gilks, Ward, Kightly, Taylor, Lowton, Marney, Hennings
