Report: Crystal Palace on verge of move for Norway striker Alexander Sorloth

Crystal Palace agree a £9m deal to sign Norway striker Alexander Sorloth but the move is on hold until FC Midtjylland find a replacement, according to a report.

Crystal Palace have agreed a £9m deal to sign FC Midtjylland forward Alexander Sorloth, according to a report.

The 22-year-old has scored 15 goals in the Danish Superliga this season and has been capped 12 times for Norway.

According to Sky Sports News, Sorloth arrived at Palace's central London offices on deadline day and is ready to sign for the Eagles.

The report, however, claims that the move is on hold until Midtjylland find a suitable replacement for the Norwegian striker.

Palace, who sit 13th in the Premier League table, were also believed to be interested in Preston North End forward Jordan Hugill, who is reportedly close to a move to West Ham United.
