Stevenage are currently experiencing an underwhelming patch of form, having lost three of their previous four matches in the third tier.

Alex Revell's side began that run of results with a narrow loss against Peterborough United, before they bounced back with a 1-0 win over Mansfield Town.

Unfortunately for Stevenage, they have gone on to suffer consecutive 2-0 defeats against Cambridge and Rotherham United.

They would have been particularly frustrated with Saturday's loss to a Rotherham side managed by Steve Evans, who left his role as Stevenage boss in April to take over the reins at the New York Stadium.

Stevenage kept the Millers at bay for 70 minutes until they conceded two quickfire goals to slump to their second home defeat of the season.

After seeing a run of three consecutive home wins come to an end, the Boro will be looking to bounce back by claiming their first-ever competitive win over Bolton.

The visitors are sitting just two points outside the playoffs after winning six, drawing two and losing four of their 12 league games this season.

Bolton have proven to be a tough team to beat in recent times have lost just one of their previous seven matches in the third tier.

Ian Evatt's side put together a five-game unbeaten league before they were beaten 2-0 in last Tuesday's away clash against leaders Birmingham City.

Bolton returned to winning ways thanks to a moment of late drama in Saturday's home game against Peterborough, with Klaidi Lolos bundling home a 99th-minute winner after Dion Charles saw his penalty and follow-up effort saved.

After extending their unbeaten home run to four league games, the Trotters will now head on their travels with hopes of clinching their fourth league win of the season.

Bolton have won three of their four previous meetings with Stevenage, although they were held to a goalless draw in their most recent trip to the Lamex Stadium in March.

Team News

Stevenage are unable to call upon Nathan Thompson, Dan Sweeney, Charlie Goode and Louis Appere due to injury.

Carl Piergianni and Louis Thompson are set to return to the starting lineup after serving one-match bans for yellow card accumulation.

As for Bolton, they are expected to be without Gethin Jones, Jordi Osei-Tutu, George Thomason and Carlos Mendes Gomes.

Goalkeeper Nathan Baxter is closing in on a return to fitness, but it is unclear whether he will be available for Tuesday's contest.

Midfielder Kyle Dempsey is a doubt after he was forced to sit out the win over Peterborough with a knee problem.

Stevenage possible starting lineup:
Ashby-Hammond; Smith, Wildin, Piergianni, Butler; L. Thompson, White; Roberts, Phillips, Reid; Young

Bolton Wanderers possible starting lineup:
Southwood; Toal, Santos, Johnston; Dacres-Cogley, Sheehan, Matete, Schon; McAtee, Collins; Charles

We say: Stevenage 1-2 Bolton Wanderers

Bolton will be full of confidence after winning five of their last seven league matches, and we think that they will claim another win in Tuesday's away clash, especially as Stevenage have lost three of their previous four games in the third tier.
