Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Iturraspe is hopeful that he will make his Spain debut in Friday's international friendly against Bolivia.
The 25-year-old has been included in Vicente del Bosque's provisional World Cup squad and a strong showing this week would improve his chances of making the final cut.
"The call surprised me because it's the first time. All the players have really made me feel welcome though and I'm adapting perfectly," Inside Spanish Football quotes the midfielder as saying.
"We don't know anything about the team yet, although that said, I'll really enjoy any minutes I get on the pitch."
Iturraspe helped Bilbao finish fourth in La Liga last season.
