Brazil will be without the services of Wolfsburg midfielder Luis Gustavo for this summer's Copa America.
The 27-year-old was named in the original squad for the competition, but has been forced to pull out after suffering a knee injury in Wolfsburg's DFB-Pokal final victory over Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.
It is understood that the defensive midfielder will need surgery to correct the issue, but is expected to be fit for the start of next season.
Barcelona's Rafinha is the early favourite to replace Gustavo having enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season at the Camp Nou.
Brazil will open their Copa America campaign against Peru on June 14.
