Barcelona forward Luis Suarez will reportedly receive a pay increase of £100,000 in order to sign a new contract with the Spanish champions.
The 29-year-old, who moved to Camp Nou from Liverpool in a £65m deal two years ago, currently earns £170,000 a week but his pay packet will be boosted to £270,000 if he extends his contract by one year from 2019 to 2020.
The offer would provide the Uruguayan with an annual salary in excess of £14m and give him pay parity with teammate and attacking partner Neymar.
According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Barcelona chiefs "accept that the current arrangement is outdated and that he deserves to be rewarded with a bumper deal", with "the key to contract renewal" being that he matches Neymar's wages.
Suarez is Barca's top scorer so far this season, with five goals in seven La Liga appearances.
