Ashley Cole 'unlikely to be staying at Chelsea'

Ashley Cole admits that his Chelsea career appears to be over, with his contract up in the summer and the Blues not among the clubs who are interested in his services.

Ashley Cole has admitted that it is looking increasingly likely that he will leave Chelsea this summer.

The left-back, who has been at Stamford Bridge since joining from London rivals Arsenal in 2006, is out of contract next month and the Blues are seemingly prepared to let him leave as they look to the future.

Cesar Azpilicueta usurped Cole as Jose Mourinho's first choice this season, with the 33-year-old making only five Premier League starts after Christmas.

Cole has hinted that he has several offers for his services to consider, with Liverpool rumoured to be interested in signing him on a free transfer, but has confessed that his Chelsea career appears to be over.

"I am weighing up my options for playing next season with my agent and sadly it does not look like chelsea will be one of them," he tweeted on Tuesday.

Cole has made 340 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring seven goals.
