Nicklas Bendtner believes that Denmark will improve for their opening Euro 2012 group fixture against the Netherlands.

Nicklas Bendtner believes that Denmark will be ready to fire on all cylinders by the time they face the Netherlands in their Euro 2012 opening fixture on June 9.

The Arsenal striker, who spent a season-long loan at Sunderland this season, believes that he along with his national teammates need to improve for the elite competition.

"We're playing a bit too slowly and too horizontally," said Bendtner. "We have trained extremely hard in our preparations and I'm certain the sharpness will return."

Denmark suffered a 3-1 defeat to Brazil last week but managed to come through a 2-0 win over Australia in a friendly on Saturday.
