Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson reportedly has no intention of returning to the club when his loan spell at Sheffield United ends this summer.
The 22-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan at Bramall Lane, where he has helped the Blades win promotion to the Premier League before establishing themselves in the top flight.
Sheffield United currently sit sixth in the table, one place and one point above Manchester United, but Henderson is due to return to his parent club at the end of the campaign.
However, the Manchester Evening News reports that Henderson will only entertain the idea of staying at Old Trafford if he is guaranteed to be the first choice in goal ahead of David de Gea.
De Gea has been one of United's star performers for much of his time at the club, but questions have been asked of his form over the last two seasons.
The Spaniard has kept just five Premier League clean sheets in 2019-20 so far, whereas Henderson boasts a joint league-high figure of nine.
