Cesc Fabregas has insisted that he never thought about leaving Barcelona despite interest from Manchester United this summer.
It had been suggested that the Premier League champions were preparing one final bid for the former Arsenal midfielder, but the Spanish international has closed the door on a possible move.
"I have never said I wanted to go. Nor have I discussed it with the president or the coach. You cannot take things as fact just because some journalists have said things on Twitter," he told TVE.
"My dream is to succeed here. I am eager to continue playing for this club – I am committed and proud to be a part of Barcelona."
Fabregas, 26, scored 14 times for Barcelona last season.
