Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare is reportedly keen to sign for Manchester United or Liverpool at the end of the season.
During the January transfer window, it was claimed that Newcastle United had expressed a willingness to meet Soumare's asking price, only for the player to reject a switch to St James' Park.
However, the 20-year-old is not short of admirers, with Chelsea having previously been linked with an approach for the youngster.
Despite claims that Stamford Bridge is one of his preferred destinations, Foot Mercato says that Soumare would prefer to sign for one of their Premier League rivals.
Man United and Liverpool are regarded as the frontrunners for the Frenchman, who will command a transfer fee well in excess of £40m.
Soumare has made 29 appearances in all competitions during the current campaign.
