A last-minute goal from Tom Hitchcock on debut kept Queens Park Rangers' unbeaten record intact as they beat Ipswich Town.
Hitchcock slotted the ball home from four yards after new signing Charlie Austin was denied by Scott Loach in the visitors' goal.
Harry Redknapp's side had the better of a game full of attacking enterprise if not clinical finishing.
Austin, who joined the R's from Burnley this summer, was the biggest threat for Rangers but he was continually denied by Loach, who made his 200th league appearance and nearly frustrated the hosts.
Ipswich were limited to half chances for much of the game, with Daryl Murphy posing the biggest threat to Robert Green's goal in the first half.
After the break, the lack of clear chances was evident as it appeared that the game was heading for a draw.
But the introduction of Hitchcock for Bobby Zamora in the last 10 minutes proved decisive and secured the points for Loftus Road outfit.
The result continues Ipswich's poor run of form away from home having only won once on their travels during the calendar year.
