Manchester City are reportedly prepared to offload Emmanuel Adebayor as well as pay up £30m to secure the signing of Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.
The Togolese frontman, who fell out of favour at the Etihad Stadium, has been prolific for Tottenham Hotspur this season following the 28-year-old's switch to White Hart Lane on a loan agreement.
The North East club, who are poised to clinch the Premier League title this Sunday, are believed to have stepped up their interest in Cavani, who is thought to be valued at £40m.
It is understood that Roberto Mancini will offload Adebayor to the Italian side as an alternative offer to the straight-cash fee wanted by Napoli, according to the Daily Star.
While Cavani is keen to leave the Serie A side, Adebayor is reportedly eager to stay with Tottenham but the club's reluctance to match the striker's City wages have proved to be a stumbling block.
