Grigor Dimitrov has suggested that it is time for younger players to come through and challenge the top four players in the world at Grand Slams.
The latter stages of the four major tournaments have often been dominated by Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray in recent years, but Dimitrov, who reached the third round of Wimbledon with a comfortable win over Luke Saville on Wednesday, believes that he is ready to challenge for major titles.
"The younger generation all want to push through those slams and start winning a through, and I believe it's around the corner for any one of us," the Bulgarian told reporters.
"Of course, it's not the easiest thing to do but I'm playing really well and feeling really excited and that brings even more to my game."
Dimitrov's best result in a Grand Slam was his quarter-final appearance at January's Australian Open.
