Barcelona mifielder Cesc Fabregas believes that Mesut Ozil was a "perfect" signing for former club Arsenal.
Ozil became the Gunners' record signing when he joined from Real Madrid for around £42.5m on transfer deadline day, and Fabregas says that his former side give the Germany international the ideal platform for him to flourish.
"If you have the chance to sign Ozil, you can't let it pass you by; he fits Arsenal perfectly," Fabregas told The Guardian.
"It doesn't matter if you already have seven or eight players with a similar style, because they'll understand each other perfectly.
"I think he's going to enjoy it enormously. He's the man who has to make the difference in the final third. His last pass is brilliant, he'll get more space and with space he kills you. He's going to score more goals himself because of that space."
Ozil has made an impressive start to life with Arsene Wenger's side, helping the club go top of the Premier League.
