Bordeaux welcomed Maccabi Tel Aviv to Stade Chaban Delmas in the Europa League on Thursday with both sides looking to get their first win of the competition.
The French side lost their Group F opener 3-0 at Eintracht Frankfurt, while the Israeli outfit were held to goalless draw at home two weeks ago when they faced APOEL.
However, Maccabi came from behind to pick up a big victory against Bordeaux in France.

Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage from Stade Chaban Delmas where Bordeaux host Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League.
Both sides are in search of their first wins in Group F, after Bordeaux were thrashed by Eintracht Frankfurt and Maccabi were held by APOEL.
With just a few minutes to kick off, let's bring you the team news.
BORDEAUX XI: Olimpa, Brechet, Chalme, Sane, Poundje, N'Guemo, Maurice-Belay, Traore, Jussie, Rolan, Sacko
MACCABI XI: Pablo, Carlos Garcia, Ben Harush, Tibi, Alberman, Zahavi, Yeini, Radi, Altman, Prica, Itzhaki
The teams are out at the Stade Chaban Delmas.
Bordeaux are wearing their all-navy home strip, while Maccabi are sporting their all-yellow kit with blue sleeves.
KICK OFF! Maccabi, playing from right to left, get us underway.
Slow start here, with neither side taking a foothold in the game.
SAVE! Brilliant save from Olimpa who palms Radi's shot from the edge of the box past the post.
Prica wriggles free on the right and manages to force a save from Olimpa.
Rolan has a shot just on the right side of the box, but it takes a deflection and drops easily for Juan Pablo in the Maccabi goal.
CHANCE! What an opportunity for Maccabi as Altman is played in on the left side of the box. He has so much space and time but opts to side foot it straight away, and it just crawls into the arms of Olimpo. Wasted effort that.
It's not be a hugely entertaining opening 15 minutes, but there has been one or two efforts on goal.
SAVE! Rolan hits a free kick from just outside the box on the left, but Juan Pablo beats it away.
On second inspection, it looks as if Juan Pablo tipped the free kick onto the post.
Really not a lot to report following that opening flurry of chances. Neither keeper has had anything to do of not for the past nine minutes.
The other game in this group sees Frankfurt currently leading APOEL, which is good news for both these teams as they look to pick up the second qualifying spot in Group F.
And yes, I'm talking about another game, because nothing is happening here.
Nice play from Bordeaux as Jussie weaves in from the left and prods a great pass across goal, however, none of his teammates are up with the play to connect with the ball.
OFF THE BAR! Nearly a freak opening goal for Bordeaux as Poundje lofts a cross towards the far post and Juan Pablo tips it against his own bar.
Bordeaux have been on top for the majority of this half, but it's still goalless.
Maurice-Belay gets on the end of a cross but nods it straight at Juan Pablo. Although he is offside anyway.
HALF TIME: Bordeaux 0-0 Maccabi Tel Aviv
So goalless here at the break, and it's been a poor game in truth.
Bordeaux inadvertently hit the post and the bar, and have had more chances, but neither keeper had too much to do for the second part of that half.
Let's hope for better after the break.
The two teams are making their way back onto the field.
Looks as if Maccabi are going to make a change.
Both teams looks as if they have a substitution in the offing.
BORDEAUX CHANGE Sacko is replaced by Obraniak.
MACCABI CHANGE Altman is taken off in favour of Mitrovic.
KICK OFF! Bordeaux, playing from right to left, get us back underway.
GOAL! Bordeaux 1-0 Maccabi Tel Aviv (Jussie)
Great start to the half from Bordeaux who take the lead in this match. Obraniak works the ball to Rolan who puts a lovely chip into the box of a plate for Jussie and heads into the back of the net.
YELLOW CARD Brechet goes into the book for a nasty-looking late challenge.
DOUBLE SAVE! Olimpi just about maintains his side's advantage. The free kick is curled over the wall and towards the near post where the keeper unconvincingly keeps it out. He then gets up to smother the rebound.
Not much has happened since the goal to be honest and the game has hit another lull.
Maurice-Belay has just gone off to receive some treatment after a knock and is waiting to be allowed to come back on.
BORDEAUX CHANGE Well this is an interesting one as Maurice-Belay has been taken off. I'm not too sure if he is that happy about it and picks up a yellow card in the process. Henri Saivet is on.
YELLOW CARD Carlos Garcia goes into the book for a body check on Jussie. Free kick in a decent position for Bordeaux.
MACCABI CHANGE Radi is off and replaced by Micha.
CLOSE! Glorious chance for Maccabi and they should be level. Mitrovic plays a delightful short pass through the eye of a needle on the edge of the box to put Prica through on goal. He lashes an effort first time from all of 10 yards out, but somehow puts it wide.
GOAL! Bordeaux 1-1 Maccabi Tel Aviv (Barak Itzhaki)
Maccabi are level but in controversial fashion. Itzhaki taps the ball in at the far post after a pass across the face of goal, but the striker looks to have tucked home in an offside position. The goal is given, and the away side back in it.
Maccabi have been on top since find their way into this match, and look the more likely to score a second.
GOAL! Bordeaux 1-2 Maccabi Tel Aviv (Dor Micha)
Right on cue! Call me Mystic Meg but Maccabi have just go in front. Micha gets the ball on the left of the box and sweeps it across goal into the far corner.
That's a killer blow to Bordeaux, whose status in this competition is already looking under threat.
Bordeaux are pushing for a leveller, but they just don't look like they're going to get it. A real lack of cutting edge.
MACCABI CHANGE Itzhaki, who scored the equaliser, is making way for Einbinder.
We will have four minutes added time.
YELLOW CARDS Obraniak goes into the book for a late change, before Sane picks up a yellow for dissent. Both looked to be weak decisions.
FULL TIME: Bordeaux 1-2 Maccabi Tel Aviv
What a shocking result that is for Bordeaux, that's two defeats from two in the competition, and their poor season continues.
On the flip side, it's a fabulous result for Maccabi, who now have four points out of a possible six at the start of the Europa League.
That's it from me, I hope you enjoyed the match. Until next time, goodbye.
