England Under-21s manager Gareth Southgate has said that a move to Napoli will be good for Nathaniel Chalobah.
The Chelsea midfielder has joined the Italian side on a season-long loan deal.
Chalobah is part of the Young Lions squad to face the United States Under-23s on Thursday, and Southgate is confident that the 20-year-old will benefit from a chance of first-team football in Serie A.
"We would advocate going and getting first team football, that's the most important thing for him," he told the Football Association's official website.
"It's an interesting challenge for him, life-experience wise it's going to be different for him compared to his other loan moves.
"But I think, for our younger players, the next stage of their development is definitely playing first team football once they're in the U21s."
Chalobah was loaned out to Burnley and Reading last term.
