Arouna Kone likely to be fit for Everton

Everton boss Roberto Martinez reveals that Arouna Kone is expected to be fit for Saturday's trip to West Ham in the Premier League.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that striker Arouna Kone is likely to be fit for Saturday's trip to West Ham United in the Premier League.

The summer signing from Wigan Athletic was forced to miss last weekend's win over Chelsea with a bruised knee.

"He should have a very good opportunity to be involved on Saturday," Martinez told the club's official website.

"He has still got a bit of bruising in his bone - he got a knock in training - but we hope over the next 48 hours he will be available to be with the side."

Kone has failed to score in four matches for the Toffees so far this season.
