Report: Arsenal poised for Wilfried Bony swoop

Arsenal reportedly identify Swansea City hitman Wilfried Bony as the man to provide competition for Olivier Giroud next season.

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Swansea City hitman Wilfried Bony this summer.

The newly-crowned FA Cup winners are thought to be determined to provide stern competition for 22-goal Olivier Giroud next season.

The Cote D'Ivorie international enjoyed a fruitful first season in English football by hitting 25 goals in total and, according to The Mirror, manager Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of the 25-year-old.

Wenger could face competition, however, as both Everton and Borussia Dortmund have been alerted by Bony's form as they prepare for life after Romelu Lukaku and Robert Lewandowski repsectively.

Bony, a club record £12m signing last summer, has another three years to run on his existing deal at the Liberty Stadium.
