Chelsea, Atletico Madrid in Fernando Torres talks?

Atletico Madrid hold talks with Chelsea to re-sign striker Fernando Torres, according to a report.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly held negotiations with Chelsea to re-sign striker Fernando Torres.

The 30-year-old has scored 45 goals in 172 matches for the Blues after joining them from Liverpool for £50m in 2011.

Chelsea are thought to be willing to accept a cut-price £13m fee for the Spain international.

Atletico chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin was in London over the weekend to discuss the transfer and will return to Madrid on Monday to continue talks over a possible deal, according to Eurosport.

Torres came through the ranks at Atletico and scored 91 goals in 244 appearances before joining Liverpool in 2007.

Chelsea have signed Diego Costa and Filipe Luis from the La Liga side this summer.
