Manchester United to swap Javier Hernandez for Adil Rami?

AC Milan defender Adil Rami could move to Manchester United as part of a swap deal for Javier Hernandez, according to reports.

Manchester United could use on-loan striker Javier Hernandez as bait to land AC Milan defender Adil Rami, according to reports.

The Mexican forward is with Real Madrid until the end of the season, but has failed to secure regular first-team football under Los Blancos coach Carlo Ancelotti.

United boss Louis van Gaal is expected to sell Hernandez when he returns in the summer, and the Daily Star claims that the frontman could instead be offered to AC Milan in return for France defender Rami.

The Rossoneri are thought to be scouring the European market for a striker and the Red Devils may look to take advantage of Milan's current situation to try to lure the former Valencia centre-half to Old Trafford.

However, United could face competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal, who are thought to be interested in the 29-year-old defender.
