Rangers manager Ally McCoist admits that he is "thrilled" after the club secured the Scottish Third Division title.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has expressed his delight after the club secured the Scottish Third Division title on Saturday.

Despite a goalless draw for the Gers at home to Montrose earlier in the day, a 1-0 defeat for Queen's Park against Elgin City wrapped up the championship with five games left to play.

"We're delighted. It's fantastic," McCoist told Sky Sports News.

"It's the first step - a major step - on our road to recovery. Hopefully we'll take the next step by winning the next league we're in.

"I'm absolutely thrilled for everyone at the club."

Rangers will have the chance to lift the trophy next Sunday when they face Queen's Park at Hampden Park.
