Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho explains on-pitch row with Diego Costa

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho explains the reasons behind his on-pitch row with Diego Costa during their win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that he was "disappointed" with Diego Costa during Tuesday night's Champions League match over Maccabi Tel Aviv, but has insisted that the pair have made up.

The Portuguese coach was seen gesticulating on the touchline when Costa failed to move into the centre of the box after Eden Hazard stormed into the area following a through-ball from Cesc Fabregas.

At that stage, Chelsea were ahead 1-0 thanks to a goal from Gary Cahill in the 20th minute, and they eventually ended the game with a 4-0 win, putting the team level on points with Group G contenders Porto.

After the match, when asked to explain the row with Costa, Mourinho told reporters: "I wanted him to do a certain movement that he didn't. I was disappointed and I reacted. He did too.

"At half-time in the dressing room there were a few kisses and a few cuddles."

Chelsea have one more match to secure their place in the last 16 of the competition.
