Josh McEachran eager to make impact at Chelsea

Josh McEachran refuses to give up on the possibility of becoming a regular in the Chelsea team.

Josh McEachran has insisted that he can become a regular in the Chelsea first-team squad in the future.

The midfielder, who made his debut for Chelsea at the age of 17, is currently playing for Wigan Athletic in the Championship after joining the FA Cup winners in the January transfer window.

However, McEachran has refused to give up on the possibility of making an impact at Stamford Bridge, despite not appearing to be in Jose Mourinho's current plans.

"Chelsea is a top club, so I'm not just going to walk into a team full of world-class players," the 21-year-old told Get West London. "I need to be patient, keep playing games and hopefully one day get my chance.

"I'm a Wigan player at the moment but I'm still contracted to Chelsea and have got another two-and-a-half years left.

"At the end of the day I want to play for Chelsea. I still think that's a realistic ambition."

McEachran has also spent time on loan at Swansea City, Middlesbrough and Watford.
