Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye has praised the resilience of his side in their 1-0 victory over Southampton at Selhurst Park.
Cabaye's strike in the 38th minute was enough to hand Alan Pardew's men the win, but the Eagles were forced to hold out towards the end of the match under severe pressure from the Saints after spurning opportunities to put the result beyond doubt.
"It was a tough game but we've done the job," Cabaye told BBC Sport. "We played well and we stayed in a good shape to keep the result. The three points are very good for us.
"It is always difficult when you're 1-0 up and we needed Wayne Hennessey to make some good saves.
"We stayed strong and solid. We played well as a team. Our mentality is the same - we're all together."
Palace are sixth in the Premier League following their win.
