Report: Hull City lead chase for Nick Powell loan

A report suggests that Manchester United want to send Nick Powell on loan to Hull City in January.

Manchester United and Hull City are reportedly close to an agreement for Nick Powell to sign on loan at the KC Stadium in January.

The 19-year-old has impressed during his time in the Championship with Wigan Athletic and The Mirror claims that Red Devils manager David Moyes is keen to test him with Premier League football.

Tigers boss Steve Bruce is already thought to have held talks with the Scotsman, although he will first have to change the status of either Jake Livermore or Danny Graham.

The pair are currently on loan on Humberside and rules dictate that clubs are only allowed two players on loan at a time from another Premier League team.

A number of top-flight clubs are said to be monitoring the England Under-21 international, including Swansea City.
