Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Manchester United ahead of their midweek meeting with FA Cup conquerors Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Manchester United take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday night knowing that victory would leave them in the top four with just six matches of their season remaining.

A 2-1 triumph over Watford in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first match at the helm since being appointed on a permanent basis lifted the Red Devils into the Champions League places at the weekend.

However, Arsenal could leapfrog them back into the top four when they face Newcastle United on Monday night, and Manchester United were beaten by Wolves in the FA Cup quarter-finals just last month.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news as Solskjaer's side look to exact revenge for that defeat.

Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: April 2 (vs. Wolves)

Named as an unused sub against Watford at the weekend, Romelu Lukaku will be fit to start on Tuesday having missed the recent international break with a foot injury.

Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez still faces around three more weeks on the sidelines with his knee injury, having suffered ligament damage against Southampton on March 2.

Anthony Martial

Solskjaer has confirmed that Anthony Martial will be available for Tuesday's match, despite picking up a knock which forced him off during Saturday's win over Watford.

Matteo Darmian has not featured since a brief substitute appearance on January 19, and a return date has not yet been specified for the Italian.

Antonio Valencia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: Unknown

Antonio Valencia is working his way back up to fitness following an injury-plagued campaign and will not be ready in time for this week's match.

Eric Bailly

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Concussion
Possible return date: April 10 (vs. Barcelona)

Eric Bailly picked up a head injury on international duty with Ivory Coast and subsequently missed the weekend win over Watford. Concussion protocols mean that he may not be able to feature until the Champions League tie with Barcelona next week.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no players suspended for this match, but Tuesday's contest is the last in which a player will pick up a two-game ban for reaching 10 yellow cards and Luke Shaw is currently one booking away from that tally.
