Nice are reportedly valuing Jean-Clair Todibo at £40m ahead of this summer's transfer window, with both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur keen on the centre-back.

Nice are reportedly prepared to let Jean-Clair Todibo depart for £40m in the summer, alerting the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite not being selected for Didier Deschamps's France squad for this month's internationals versus Germany and Chile, the defender is impressing potential suitors across the continent.

Todibo has featured in 20 Ligue 1 matches for Nice so far in 2023-24, forming an excellent centre-back partnership with Brazilian veteran Dante.

In fact, Francesco Farioli's men have conceded just 20 times in 26 first-tier outings in the current season, meaning that they possess the joint-meanest defence in the division.

According to talkSPORT, Nice have revealed their valuation and asking price of highly-rated Todibo, and it is a figure that will catch the eye of many top clubs.

The report claims that the Ligue 1 outfit are hoping to earn £40m from the sale of the 24-year-old, who joined the club back in the summer of 2021.

It is understood that Manchester United are interested in securing the services of Todibo, and a connection to the player could come in handy.

The Red Devils' new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is still heavily involved in the running of Nice and signed the defender from Barcelona three years ago.

As well as United, it is believed that Tottenham are also keen on Todibo, meaning that there could be a transfer fight between Premier League clubs in the summer for the player.

Ange Postecoglou has enjoyed a steady start to life in North London, with Spurs currently fifth in the top-flight standings, three points behind Unai Emery's Aston Villa in fourth.

The Lilywhites have already strengthened in defence since the arrival of the Australian into the managerial hotseat, with Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie joining ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

On top of this, Tottenham delved back into the backline market during the January transfer window, with centre-back Radu Dragusin transferring from Genoa for a fee of around £26m.

It is said that there was an understanding last summer that Todibo would remain at Nice for another season, with this summer now appearing as the right time to move on for all parties.

The 24-year-old possess relative international pedigree, having made his debut for Les Bleus in the 2-1 loss in a friendly to Germany back in September.
