Newcastle boss Alan Pardew believes that his side will find it tough when they face Everton at Goodison Park on Monday night.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has insisted that his side face a tough contest when they travel to Everton on Monday night.

The Toffees have won two of their opening three matches this season, including a 1-0 victory over Manchester United at the start of the campaign.

"It's obvious from the start of the season that Everton have picked up where they left off last year," Pardew told reporters.

"They beat us comfortably at the back end of last year. It's a tough game for us, and I think it's going to be for everybody at Goodison, as Manchester United found out. We have got a lot to do there."

Newcastle currently sit 10th in the Premier League table following one win, one draw and one defeat from their first three fixtures.
