Facundo Ferreyra is reportedly waiting on Newcastle United to approve his loan switch to Serie A side Genoa.
The 23-year-old had joined the Magpies on a season-long loan from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer but is yet to make an appearance for the club, and talkSPORT claims that United are looking to pull out of the deal.
Genoa are said to be keen on taking the player to Italy. However, a move will only happen when Newcastle cancel their current agreement.
As a result, it is thought that the Rossoblu are yet to be given the green light for a deal for the Argentine forward by the Tyneside outfit.
Any move for the striker may depend on when Newcastle name a new manager to replace Alan Pardew.
