Unai Emery: 'Sevilla can improve'

Unai Emery says that Sevilla can "continue doing important things" after winning back-to-back Europa League titles.

Sevilla manager Unai Emery has insisted that the La Liga club can continue to grow and improve upon their recent success.

The 43-year-old has guided Los Rojiblancos to successive Europa League titles and next season they will return to the group stages of the Champions League.

Emery's achievements have resulted in increased speculation over his future at the club, but the Spaniard has insisted that he has no plans to leave and wants to keep pushing them forward.

"I am very happy in Seville," Emery told Noticias de Gipuzkoa. "I am very grateful because the club treats me very well and I am very happy with the fans.

"I am delighted with the respect that they have for my work and for those around me. The potential to grow for both myself and the club, in this case Sevilla, is the most important thing. We have grown, we have made steps year by year and even though the stakes become higher every year, that is also a challenge.

"For example, we have the Super Cup final against Barcelona. The fact we have reached the Champions League means there is a leap in standard that I want to take. Where I am best is in Seville, where I really do believe we can continue doing important things."

Emery took charge of Sevilla in January 2013, following spells at Valencia and Spartak Moscow.
