Jonathan Walters: 'Stoke City know what Arsenal hate'

Stoke City forward Jonathan Walters claims that the Potters have become good at frustrating Arsenal by playing in a manner that the Gunners "don't like".

Stoke City forward Jonathan Walters has admitted that the Potters have become good at frustrating Arsenal by playing in a manner that the Gunners "don't like".

Saturday's 3-2 win against Arsene Wenger's charges was their fifth in eight attempts at the Britannia Stadium.

Mark Hughes's side shocked their opponents by racing into a 3-0 lead by half time, before surviving the second half as the visitors claimed back two goals.

Walters told BBC Sport: "[Arsenal at home] is one of those games that has the whole crowd rocking. Everyone knows it is huge and we have such a good record against them. We know what they don't like, especially at our place.

"In the first half we kept [the ball] well, we played through the lines with some great attacking play. In the second half it was always going to be backs to walls, but we dug in.

"We are dominating possession in games now, and hopefully those games which have been a little bit tight we can find the goals to win."

Walters was among the scorers, as he added to earlier strikes from Bojan and Peter Crouch.
