Paolo Di Canio linked with Bristol City post

Paolo Di Canio is reportedly a target for Bristol City as doubt surrounds the future of current boss Sean O'Driscoll.

Former Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has been linked with a return to management with League One side Bristol City.

The 45-year-old was sacked by the Black Cats last month having taken just one point from five games at the start of the Premier League season.

Meanwhile, Robins boss Sean O'Driscoll is under pressure with the team languishing 23rd following their relegation from the Championship last year.

According to the Daily Mail, the City board are interested in talking to the Italian, who has previous experience in the lower leagues with Swindon Town, in the hope that he can revive their fortunes.

However, a 4-2 win over Carlisle United yesterday ended a run of 21 games without a win and may have bought O'Driscoll some time.
