Al-Wasl coach Diego Maradona suggests that he would like to sign former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.

Al-Wasl coach Diego Maradona has suggested that he would like to sign former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.

The Ivorian, who has been linked with a move to Shanghai Shenhua, recently became a free agent following his decision not to renew his contract at Stamford Bridge.

"Who in the world would not want Drogba? Every team would love to have such a player in their ranks," Maradona is quoted as saying by The Sun.

Drogba moved to Chelsea from Marseille in 2004 for £24m.
