Roma lead Ashley Cole chase?

Serie A side Roma are reportedly leading the chase to sign former Chelsea defender Ashley Cole.

Roma have reportedly emerged as the favourites to sign former Chelsea and England defender Ashley Cole.

The 33-year-old, who announced his retirement from international football earlier this year, is available on a free transfer after coming to the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Sky Sports News reports that the Serie A side are leading the chase for the left-back.

AS Monaco, Barcelona and AC Milan have all been linked with a move for Cole, while offers from MLS sides and Australia's A-League have also been reported.
