Glenn Hoddle given new Football Association role?

Glenn Hoddle will be confirmed as part of the Football Association's commission aiming to make England's national side successful, according to a report.

Former England manager Glenn Hoddle has reportedly been asked to take up a new role with the Football Association by chairman Greg Dyke.

Hoddle was sacked as England coach 14 years ago, but has now been asked by Dyke to join a commission with a wide-ranging remit, charged with improving the fortunes of the national side.

Dyke has met Hoddle twice in recent months and will name the ex-Three Lions boss as a prominent member of his commission tomorrow, according to The Telegraph.

The new FA chairman is expected to reveal more details about the structure and personnel of the commission tomorrow afternoon when he is due to talk at a Leaders in Football Conference at Stamford Bridge.

Former FA technical director Howard Wilkinson is also rumoured to be part of the project, which aims to put in place a structure for sustained success at international level.
